Andover Controls specialized in developing commercial Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning controllers with embedded software. In 2004, TAC acquired Andover Controls, and later TAC spun off the Andover group and sold it to Schneider Electric. As Prinicipal Technical Writer and Manager of Documentation for Andover Controls from 1989 to 1995, Ruth developed an extensive documentation set from scratch, including Infinity CX and Infinity SX Programmer Guides and the Andover Controls Plain English Reference, numerous hardware installation guides, network configuration guides, and a glossy Infinity Technical Journal. She also managed localization to French and German as well as training manual development.
