Nuance Communications is a leader in Speech Recognition software, maker of Dragon NaturallySpeaking and an entire series of related Dragon products, including Dragon Medical (used in medical practices of various sizes as well as hospitals and clinics), Dragon SDK Client, and Dragon SDK Server. In addition, the company makes the popular PowerScribe for Radiology speech recognition system, a product that provides both speech recognition and document management for medical reports. PowerScribe for Radiology passes documents from (for example) physicians to editors/transcriptions then back to physicians for electronic signature. Alongside PowerScribe, Nuance has also provides a PowerScribe SDK toolkit for developing speech recognition systems used in both medical and non-medical settings. Sessions Technical Services developed programmer guides and reference material for all of these products, as well as command line installation instructions for the medical desktop version of Dragon, then later server installation and administrator guides for the Dragon Medical Network Edition, all between 2005 and 2011.
